The 5 Principles of effective Design

It's been fifteen years since the massified of what we know today as the Internet. This comprehensive coverage is slightly due to the free allocation of two key elements: HTML and web browser. Each were developed by Tim Berners-Lee while operating at CERN , an European research center. The first is a uncomplicated language that lets people without programming skills to make hypertext documents whereas the second is the program that tends to make visible those documents. This grouping of technologies, on one hand the interaction and exchange of information through the network and the another the hypertext , Berners-Lee made a choice to call it World Wide Web (WWW). WWW was not the first project that took advantage of the Internet, however today it is famous because it helps information to move inside of an environment that blends text and images ("browse") and then be compounded with video, sound and extra opportunities for connection through services that are installed in browsers.

If perhaps you are fresh to the realm of design, these 5 major principles will make you think about the considerations you should evaluate when you're doing some work. Certainly many of these things we have talked about without proposing it.

1. The technology used to humans. People should not feel bad when choosing technology. As customers, the user is commonly right. If the software crashes, it is a fault of the designer. If somebody can not acquire anything on a website is a responsibility of the designer. Technology assists humans, not likewise.

2. Generally the design is not art. Art is a personal look of the artist . The Observer "care" bit, it only takes your recognition. Designing, on the other hand, is the use. The designer wants someone to apply the design, not just who only admires it. This assists to resolve problems and unlike art, design is context, context of apply : what problem does it address ? Who? When? This is why the design is concerned to the technology because it alters very speedily , and our designs. A design that worked wonders 10 years ago can not even be considered today as a work of art is always in trend . Good designs really rely on the time they are made and the issues they solve . It is free when people enjoy a good working design.

3. The experience belongs to the user. Designers do not generate experiences, they generate artifacts to experience. This small intricacy makes the big difference and positions the user at the service of designer. It suggests that the experience of a design is not only because the designer chosen well, realistically happens when the user reports. The very best experience is something that appears to the user and is yours.

4. The best design is concealed . An exciting property of the ideal designs is given by analysts. They work so good that we overlook the commitment behind it. Behind each of these there is a history, one or more designers who served to make us a better world. Unpleasant designs speak for themselves: they are not enough , problematic and complex, and the worst is that they are the most seen. Good designs, thanks to its good performance.

5. The simplicity gives you the best touch. In the words of Saint-Exupery: "Perfection is achieved not when there is nothing to add, but when there is nothing to take away." It's understanding how to stay and what to get rid of . This is the supreme accomplishment of a designer: to reach out to users with plain products.
