Rebuild your Dewalt 14.4 V Battery into a New One
Batteries are an essential component in order to run any device. Just remove the battery from the power tool and place it on the workbench. Use a small screwdriver to pry out each of the nickel cadmium cells from their battery compartment. If the cells are soldered then heat a soldering iron and touch a soldered cell terminal with the iron until the solder melts. Remove the soldering iron and pry the cell away from the connection before the solder hardens. Now insert the replacement cells into the battery compartment and then solder each cell terminal. Do this with all the terminals and then let the solder cool and solidify.
Let the battery pack cool and replace the battery cover but don’t tighten the screws with excess force as this might damage the soldered cells. Now put your battery on charging for some time to ensure that all the cells get fully charged and then insert the battery into the power tool to check for its performance and charging..
