The Plus of CNG Conversion Kits

Did you hear about compressed natural gas or, in short, CNG? Today, CNG is considered to be one of the substitutes for diesel, petrol or LPG. This gas is being used by a large number of households since the past few years and today, it is also being used as one of the major alternatives for fuel in various industries like transportation industry, manufacturing industry, and so on.. But as far as cng conversion kits are concerned, they have their set of advantages and disadvantages..

A CNG conversion kit is nothing but a set of tools and components which are installed in a vehicle so that the vehicle can run using CNG as well as gasoline. Some of the tools and components of CNG conversion kits include pressure gauge, hose clamps, emulator, switch for fuel change over, hoses, high pressure tubing as well as fittings, filling nozzle, and so on, just to name a few. You can easily switch from gasoline to cng by just pressing the fuel change over switch. Some of the greatest benefits of CNG conversion kits include the following:

• CNG is less expensive compared to gasoline and hence, people find it economical to use CNG rather than gasoline in their cars.

• CNG is also less harmful to the environment compared to gasoline.

• CNG, on combustion, does not produce any deposits of carbon and hence, the engine of the car remains clean.

• Using CNG reduces the noise of car engine to a great extent.



On the other hand, some of the drawbacks of CNG conversion kits include:

• The CNG tank occupies a significant amount of space and the cylinder is also quite bulky and heavy.

• Moreover, till date, the CNG filling stations are fewer in number. However, they are expected to increase in the near future as a result of an increase in demand for CNG.
