Seminyak Beach Things to Do
Author: DirectRooms1 | Posted: 29.11.2011Seminyak offers not only panoramic and jaw dropping views but also sophistication with its choice in luxury spas. Seminyak is without a doubt the high-end spa capital of Bali and one where guests can be pampered with pure indulgence in a chic backdrop. Such quality and ambience to boot is more than half the normal costs of Western countries and many hotels in Seminyak Beach offer an in-house spa service as well as in-villa treatments.
More upmarket than Kuta and home to Bali's best bar, club and restaurant scene with new openings frequently, Seminyak has a dynamism that extends to the designer boutiques. Over the last few years it has calmly established itself as a shopping capital. Contrasting with many resorts offering the same goods sold in every store, visitors will encounter many different designs and individual items, reflecting the Balinese culture.
The area of Seminyak has been developed in recent years to become the second most popular place for lovers of art after Ubud. The town’s main street is fringed with elegant galleries that house contemporary sculptures, striking photography and wonderful paintings, many of which depict Balinese beauty, social issues, and notably landscapes.
A must see on any visit to this region of Bali is Tanah Lot, a popular and beautiful sea temple. It nestles on a remarkable spot on a craggy islet only accessible at low tide.
Berawa beach is five kilometres from Seminyak. Many go to Berawa to meditate and do yoga. Here, you will witness the daily life of local fishermen who catch their fish from traditional boats.
