Many businesses and companies have need of a great deal of literature for their operations and even for internal reasons such as staff training. The cost of getting this printing done locally is often quite high, and small businesses particularly need to be careful with their budgets and do everything possible to reduce costs. Offshore printing can often achieve the reduction in costs that is necessary for most budgets.

However, when you have staff that cannot speak the language of another country, it is difficult to do business with them, much less be sure about the quality of the finished product. This is not to say the offshore printing company cannot produce work that is excellent; just that mistakes can be made in translation processes. There has to be input from both sides to ensure the correct product – and number of products – is supplied, but this can be difficult unless you can understand each other.

And even when the printing is done in the country or origin there can be problems in finding the right printer for the job. Most printers will not tell you that the printing industry in niche specific. Printing equipment costs a great deal and is often only suitable for certain jobs. If the printers try to do a printing job on equipment not designed for it, the quality will be degraded or the costs increased.

A simple example is with the one or two colour printing presses. If you require brochure printing in two colours and the printer only has a one colour printer, they will need to run the print material through twice to get the two colours. If they have a two colour printer the job only need one run through, equating to a saving in time and costs.

Print brokers work much like insurance brokers in that they have the experience and knowledge of many different printers and what they can offer. This saves you a great deal of time and hassle in getting your printing job done quickly and affordably.
