When you have a canvas print you want to know that you’re getting the best possible canvas print you can and here is a few tips for you to check that you getting just that.

Firstly it’s always feasible and handy if you’re choosing a canvas printing company that has done some work for someone you know or they have a good online reputation so that even before you go ahead and have something printed your confident that they are the ones for you. Secondly have a look around to see who has the best price if you get a couple of canvas printers that offer a great service with the best price possible then here is a few questions you can ask them to determine that they are the best choice for you.

What sort of ink do they use: well the best type of ink would be the correct ink for that printer, some canvas printing businesses will use different aftermarket inks that may change the colour slightly to the finish of your canvas print, it would be a good idea to ask them what ink they use and if it is light fast, if it is lightfast then this is a good thing because it basically means that the canvas and colours won’t fade for a long time, allot of printers will give you a guarantee that it won’t fade for at least 50 years and this would be a good purchase if they are using this type of ink.

The next thing would be to ask what type of canvas they use, a couple of good canvas choices would be either a 250gsm Polly cotton canvas or a pure cotton canvas there are the two most popular so any of these choices would be a good option, after you have established what type of canvas you want your photo to be printed on then the next question would be what type of wood and what sort of depth frame do they use for mounting your canvas on to, a real good wood to use is a fur stretcher bar frame wood, this type of wood is use by most professional printers use these days to get the best possible stretch to the canvas and to keep it taught to. Once you have found out the type of wood they use for their frames then next thing would be to see what different depth of frames they have available to, some companies offered different depths to give different types of effects so it would be nice to have a look to see what they have to offer.

Lastly would be there finish, if they have made a good job of the print and the framing then you don’t really need any canvas tape at the back but if they throw this ion with your canvas print as a bonus to hind the staples on the back then that would be perfect and they would make it look even more clean and tidy ready for you to hang on your wall.
