If parenting in itself is a task then raising child prodigy is an added unique challenge. Nurturing these children who have additional amazing abilities requires extra efforts by parents in regulating them. The child may be exceptionally gifted in music, science, literature, art, mathematics or any other field.
What is Child Prodigy?
The term signifies someone who masters any skill at an early age. Such a child with exceptional quality is called as ‘Child Prodigy’. Basically, the child is capable of doing something which is beyond his level of maturity. In order to classify a prodigy it is important to know the child must be younger than 18 years of age.
Identifying Child Prodigy
The talent and exceptional ability of a child prodigy is discovered quite young. Generally, it begins from the age of two. Some examples of child prodigies are – a child who begins reading at the age of 2 or is intellectual enough to solve complex math problem at the age of 5. • It is vital for parents to get to know other families with highly gifted children with whom they can share their experiences
• Even if a child enthusiastically and joyously immersed in his area of talent still in developing and honing his skills further parenting plays a crucial role.
