The Unknown Island El Hierro

Canary Islands are a group of islands which are attractions to tourists from all over the world who come here to explore, enjoy and relax in the natural beautiful grounds of Spain. Most of the islands within this group are very popular and already experiencing mass tourism but the fact is that some are yet to be completely known and attract as many of the tourists as possible.

One such island that is yet to be discovered by many is the El Hierro Island. It is a small island whose glory is yet to shine in the tourism world even though it also has something to offer to visitors who care to spend some time on it. It is on the far west of archipelago which could be the main reason as to why it is yet to be known well. It has Biosphere Reserve brand from UNESCO and it is definitely an interesting place to be for a holiday.

Some of the features that you will find on this island include swimming pools which are natural and contain water which is crystal clear. The water here is most ideal for scuba diving and swimming hence those who love the two will find the island very interesting and ideal for their holiday. On the inland area of El Hierro are protected woodland areas which are very huge in size leaving a beautiful landscape on their trail. The island is indeed a great destination for people who love identifying with nature directly or those wishing to have the most relaxed holiday of all.

The coast in this island is rocky contrary to the wide beaches evident on most of the Canary Islands. But there is still a very wide and long beach at Golfo occupying a whole 14 kilometers. The beach has plenty of activities that one can take part in while here and is therefore a great place to spend a holiday. El Hierro has a tableland which has nice wooed and volcanic crater all of which are major attractions and worth checking out while here. Malpaso is the peak of the central area and from here you can enjoy great panorama. This small island waits to be explored and enjoyed and has proved to be a very good spot for a quiet and relaxed kind of holiday for any kind of tourist wishing to come to the Canary Islands.
